About the model

Each runtime has its own license and hardware requirements.

Local inference.
Developer tools.

On-device inference

Run installed models on your Mac using MLX. No cloud GPU required.

Image import and generation

For Waypoint, import a starting image or generate one from a text prompt using OpenAI.

Developer logging

Developer mode saves selected performance timings, keyboard inputs, and frame samples locally.

Is this just for games?

No. Caus runs interactive video models for experimentation and research as well as gameplay. These models are not reliable physical simulators.

What Mac do I need?

The current preview targets Apple silicon Macs and macOS 14 or later. Model memory requirements vary.

How consistent are the worlds?

Models can lose detail, change geometry, or collapse during longer sessions. Results depend on the runtime and settings.
