This policy explains how Caus ("Caus", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Caus app, our websites and our online services (together, the "Services").
Information we collect
Information you provide. This includes content you create, upload, submit or share through the Services, such as text prompts, images, titles, display names, worlds and messages you send us.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Services we and our providers may collect device and app information, identifiers, IP address and network information, usage and interaction data, performance and diagnostic data, and similar technical information.
Information from others. We may receive information from service providers, partners and other users, for example when someone invites you to a shared session.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services, including generating and hosting content and running multiplayer sessions.
- To develop new features, models and services.
- To keep the Services safe, including moderation and preventing fraud, abuse and misuse.
- To communicate with you and provide support.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How information is shared
- Service providers and third-party providers that help us run the Services, such as hosting, content delivery, content generation, moderation, analytics and communications. They process information on our behalf or under their own terms.
- Other users. Content you choose to share, and information needed for multiplayer sessions such as your display name, may be visible to others. Some sessions connect devices directly, which can make network information such as IP addresses visible to other participants.
- Legal and safety reasons, where we believe it is required by law or needed to protect rights, safety or the Services.
- Business changes, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- With your consent or at your direction.
On your device
Many features of the Caus app run on your Mac. Content that stays on your device, such as local recordings and logs, is not sent to us unless you choose to share it or a feature needs it to work.
Retention
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Your choices
You can turn off optional usage statistics in the app's settings, and remove content you have shared. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your information, or to object to or restrict some processing. Security and transfers
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no system is completely secure. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, with safeguards where required.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country.
Changes
